McCulloch not getting ahead of himself

Lee McCulloch admits there is a long way to go yet before Rangers can say they have proved their doubters wrong in the Champions League. The Scottish champions headed into this campaign desperate to make amends for a poor showing in the competition last year which saw them finish bottom of their group without a single win. They made a decent start this time around by holding Manchester United to a goalless draw at Old Trafford in a match which, on paper, represented their toughest test in a section which also includes Valencia and Bursaspor. The result may have restored some pride for Scottish football in the wake of disappointment for the rest of the SPL clubs in Europe this season but McCulloch is well aware Rangers have many more tough challenges to face in the months ahead. He said: "I think if you are going to prove people wrong you need to wait until the end of the campaign but we've certainly had a good start and hopefully we can build on the point. "Last year it was the home games that we struggled in a little bit and I think the home games are going to be vital."
