Ally McCoist is confident Rangers will be ready when their Champions League campaign begins in earnest against Malmo next week.[LNB] The Scottish champions play host to the Swedish side in the third qualifying round first leg on Tuesday night, as both clubs battle to take a step closer to the lucrative group stages.[LNB]Malmo will have the advantage of being midway through their season, while Rangers' own domestic campaign begins with the visit of Hearts in their Scottish Premier League opener on Saturday.[LNB]But Rangers have done plenty of homework on their rivals and, thanks to a dossier compiled by coach Ian Durrant, new boss McCoist believes his side will be up to the challenge.[LNB]Malmo have already overcome Torshavn in the competition, with Durrant dispatched to the second leg of that meeting between the two clubs.[LNB]McCoist said: "We know about Malmo and Ian was over at the game in the Faroes. We have watched videos.[LNB]"One of the big plusses they have is that they are into their season and fitness won't be a problem for them - but nor will it be for us.[LNB]"We will make sure we are ready for it."[LNB]While having every faith in his own players' ability to come through the tie, McCoist is well aware of the dangers Malmo could pose.[LNB]He added: "Ian said they have got some good players, especially further up the park.[LNB]"They have got players that can hurt you, as you would expect.[LNB]"He hasn't gone into things in great detail yet but he has his own wee dossier and we will have a look at it immediately after the Hearts game.[LNB]"We will go into it in greater depth then but he effectively said they were a dangerous team with one or two players who could hurt you."
