McCoist and Lennon feud won`t linger - Smith

Rangers manager Walter Smith is confident there will be no lingering bad feeling between Ally McCoist and Neil Lennon following their Old Firm bust-up. The Ibrox number two, who will take over the helm from Smith at the end of the season, clashed with the Celtic boss after the final whistle of Wednesday's Scottish Cup replay with the angry exchange being replayed countless times on television. Smith said: "You would have to ask Alistair what happened more than me. There was a bit of a build-up over the last couple of games which led to the scenes at the end. "Alistair and Neil were on talking terms after the game so I'm sure it's something that won't carry on any further. "When you play each other as quickly, sometimes if there is a little bit of a problem off or on the field, it can carry through to the next game. "There is no great time period which has elapsed to allow us to forget about it, it's fresh in your mind and I think that's what happened the other night."
