Lilley fears another Boyd bashing

Boyd has developed a habit of scoring against his old club after swapping Rugby Park for Ibrox back in January 2006.[LNB]He was wanted by Championship outfit Birmingham last month but the move collapsed over personal terms, with the prolific striker later confessing he did not want to leave Rangers.[LNB]He is likely to be back in the team against Killie on Saturday, after sitting out last week's Old Firm derby, and Lilley is not relishing the prospect of facing the forward again.[LNB]He said: "I hope we don't see him but I think we will.[LNB]"I think they might go with Kenny Miller and Boyd up front.[LNB]"I would have been glad to see the back of big Boydy, to be honest.[LNB]"I wish he had gone to Birmingham because he has scored a right few goals against us.[LNB]"He is prolific against most teams but he has scored a lot of goals against us."[LNB]Rangers and Celtic were both criticised for serving up a dull goalless draw at Parkhead last weekend but Lilley refused to read too much into the derby as Killie prepare for their trip to Ibrox.[LNB]He said: "That was just a one-off game. It wasn't a great game to watch but, because of what was at stake, it was always going to be like that.[LNB]"It will be a totally different game when Rangers play Kilmarnock - I can't see them going one up front against us! We know it's going to be difficult."[LNB]And Lilley was also reluctant to subscribe to the notion the Old Firm are now there for the taking after shipping so many points to the rest of the teams in the Scottish Premier League this season.[LNB]He said: "Every time you go there, it's difficult, even when people are saying they are not at their best.[LNB]"They are still a formidable team.[LNB]"I've watched the last two games. I watched them against Forfar and they changed the personnel.[LNB]"But the players they bring in are still quality players so it's going to be difficult."[LNB]Lilley's season so far has been hampered by injury and he is simply hoping to be involved after making his comeback against Hibernian last week.[LNB]"It's been very frustrating," he said. "The season started off well, we were doing okay and then I picked up an injury at Pittodrie at the beginning of November and it has been stop-start from there.[LNB]"Hopefully, it's behind me now and I'm glad to be back playing.[LNB]"Sometimes the best thing is to get thrown back into the deep end - and there is nowhere deeper than Ibrox.[LNB]"Big Frazer Wright is back fit so it gives the gaffer a couple of decisions to make.[LNB]"I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I've done enough to stay in the team.[LNB]"It was a bit of a surprise to be honest, being back in last week.[LNB]"With the injury to Frazer, the gaffer drafted me back in and I was only too happy to be back playing."[LNB][LNB] Rangers v Kilmarnock.
