Levein: No approach for Webster

Reports suggested the Tannadice boss was set to offer Webster a loan deal in a bid to kick-start his career. The 27-year-old's time at Ibrox has been blighted by injury and Levein admits he has discussed the player's situation with Gers boss Walter Smith. But he says he has no plans to be reunited with the centre-half, who played under him at Hearts. "That's interesting to hear, but it isn't right because we have not made any moves for Andy Webster," Levein told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. "He is someone I know very well from our time together at Hearts and what has happened is that, back in January, Wattie Smith and I had a long chat about his situation, but we were not discussing a move."
