Le Guen's loan target

Rangers manager Paul Le Guen is likely to send loanee Phil Bardsley back to Manchester United in the New Year, but wants to hold on to Lee Martin.

Full-back Bardsley has struggled to make his mark at Ibrox, but Le Guen has been impressed by Martin, despite the winger suffering with injury problems.

The Frenchman said: "Phil will probably go back to Manchester in December. I think that will be the best thing for him.

"I will talk to Sir Alex Ferguson about the situation and we will take a decision together over what to do next.

"I will also talk to him about Lee too. It really depends on what he wants to do.

"I know he thinks he doesn't play enough, but I will talk to him and see where we go from here."
