urnley boss Brian Laws remains hopeful of keeping midfielder Chris Eagles at Turf Moor.[LNB] Eagles' future at Burnley has been the subject of speculation with the former Manchester United youngster turning down a move to Rangers earlier this month.[LNB]The 24-year-old has only 12 months to run on his current contract and Laws insists they will not let the skilful midfielder run down his deal and leave on a free transfer.[LNB]Burnley hope to tie down Eagles to a new deal otherwise he will be sold before the close of the transfer window[LNB]"Chris is just getting his head down and focusing on football at the moment," Laws told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.[LNB]"Obviously Chris' contract runs out next summer and we cannot allow his contract to run down. [LNB]"So one of two things has to happen. Either he re-signs, which we would be absolutely delighted with, or he moves on. [LNB]"We're waiting for Chris and his advisor to get back to us at the moment on what he wants to do."
