Kyle Lafferty believes Rangers' hard-fought win over Kilmarnock will give them the ideal boost ahead of a week that could shape their season. The Clydesdale Bank Premier League champions scraped a 2-1 victory to move two points behind leaders Celtic at the top of the table, with a game in hand. Next up for Walter Smith's men is the second leg of their Europa League last-16 clash with PSV Eindhoven on Thursday, after the first leg in Holland ended goalless. Rangers then battle Celtic for the first silverware of the season when they meet in the Co-operative Insurance Cup final at Hampden on Sunday. Lafferty said: "It does give us a boost. It keeps our confidence up ahead of Thursday night, which will be a tough game. "We knew it would be difficult against Kilmarnock but we got the three points and now we have to move on, taking one game at a time. "Thursday's game will be a tougher game because PSV are a very good side, they play some good football, with some great players. It's going to be another tough game but we are more than capable of getting the result we need."
