Rangers are close to completing the £3million signing of highly-rated Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty.
Gers manager Walter Smith has already landed strikers Kenny Miller and Andrius Velicka for the new season and is close to sealing the capture of the 20-year-old Northern Ireland international.
Lafferty, who scored five times in 40 appearances for the Championship club last season, had previously been linked with a move to Glasgow rivals Celtic.
Third-choice goalkeeper Alan Gow is reportedly set to head in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
Meanwhile, Lithuania striker Velicka is hoping to make his mark in Old Firm games after agreeing to join the Ibrox club following two years on loan with Hearts.
"I scored a few goals for Hearts against Celtic and in the Edinburgh derby against Hibs," he said.
"But to score for Rangers against Celtic would be a bigger feeling than anything I have experienced in football."
