Lafferty eyes starting spot

New signing Kyle Lafferty is confident of making an impact at Rangers and has no intention of warming the bench at Ibrox.
The 20-year-old Northern Ireland international joined Walter Smith's side in a £3million deal from Burnley last month.
Lafferty's arrival coincided with the double capture of fellow frontmen Kenny Miller and Andrius Velicka, but the highly-rated youngster is determined to hold down a starting place in his first season with the Glasgow club.
"I'm not just looking forward to bidding for a place in the side," he told the club's official website.
"I don't really want to play two or three games at a time then get dropped for a couple as well.
"It's important for me to make a good impression, although I know how difficult that will be with the number of strikers that are at the club.
"I'm not 21 until September so I know I'm at the stage where I'll have to work my socks off to get into the team and I'm not assured of a place."
