Celtic have appealed against the red card dished out to their captain after a clash with Lafferty.[LNB]Rangers went on to seal victory thanks an injury-time goal from Maurice Edu and went 10 points clear of their rivals.[LNB]Northern Ireland international Lafferty, now preparing to face Albania in a friendly on Wednesday, said: "To produce a red card was harsh but it is the referee's decision and is nothing to do with me.[LNB]"There was a bit of a scuffle between us and then he made contact with my chest. There was definite contact. I went down but was straight back up.[LNB]"The press in Scotland try to portray me as a bad boy but I just take it with a pinch of salt."[LNB]Lafferty is pleased Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington has agreed to stay until the end of the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.[LNB]He said: "Nigel is brilliant in his preparation for each game. He'll have every player up for this match even though most of us don't know too much about Albania.[LNB]"We missed out on the World Cup and that was a major disappointment. We've got to make sure we do better in the Euro qualifiers so the game against Albania is ideal for that.[LNB]"They'll give us a really tough game - that's what we'll be expecting and we have to make sure we have an answer for them. I want to play a big role in the game."[LNB]Manchester United defender Jonny Evans sat out training on Monday night and is doubtful for the match.[LNB]Evans took a knock on his knee during the Carling Cup victory over Aston Villa on Sunday at Wembley.[LNB]He will be re-assessed on Tuesday before a decision is taken on whether he stays or returns to Manchester.[LNB]As a precaution, Worthington has called up Jonny's brother Corry, 19, who is also at Old Trafford.[LNB]Corry is currently in San Marino with the Under-21 squad for a European Championship qualifier on Tuesday night and will join up with the senior squad on Wednesday.[LNB]Worthington is short of defenders as Aaron Hughes and Chris Baird have been rested, Gareth McAuley is injured and Shane Duffy has opted to play for the Republic of Ireland.[LNB][LNB] Scottish Premier League.
