Kilmarnock FC make great gesture to Forces families

08 November 2010 15:25
Saturday 20th November will see 1,000 troops and their families at the Killie v Rangers game. Killie have given 1000 tickets to members of the armed forces and their families. 500 to each set of supporters.   There will be pipers outside the ground prior to KO, with the cadet force collecting money from the supporters who wish to donate to good causes.   The Royal Regiment of Scotland parachute team (The Golden Lions) will be parachuting in at half-time.   2 SCOTS, for instance, have taken 100 tickets and will be predominately taking parties of wives and kids of those that their fathers are at present on operations in Afghanistan. The remainder will go to the soldiers are awaiting new of future deployments.   I'm sure both supports will give them a warm welcome and contribute generously to the collection.   WELL DONE KILLIE!
