Kenny Miller unlikely to return to Rangers until Vancouver Whitecaps contract expires

Vancouver Whitecaps expect Kenny Miller to honour his contract with them, making a return to Rangers unlikely.

It has been suggested that the Scotland international could soon be heading back to Ibrox for a third spell. The club are understood to be keen on doing a deal, while the player has indicated that he would be willing to head home. Miller is, however, under contract in Canada for another year and the Whitecaps are confident he will spend another 12 months in the MLS, despite enduring a frustrating time so far. Club president Bob Lenarduzzi said:

"No-one has spoken to us about Kenny.

"He told our coach, Martin Rennie, he's looking forward to coming back and getting a full pre-season in, unlike last year when he came in halfway through it.

"We expect both him and Barry Robson to be here for pre-season training."
