Henderson played at Ibrox in the 1960s and 70s under Scott Symon and then Willie Waddell when Scottish football were reknowned for wide men.[LNB]But when Walter Smith's side run out at Hampden on Sunday for the Co-operative Insurance Cup final against St Mirren, Ibrox striker Boyd will look to add to his 24 goals without the aid of wingers.[LNB]"The game has changed but I think wingers are missed," the former Scotland player said.[LNB]"Wingers used to provide a lot of entertainment.[LNB]"Kris Boyd has scored something like 24 goals this season and you know what his record is like over the past seasons.[LNB]"Can you imagine how many goals Kris Boyd would have scored playing with two wingers?"[LNB]Rangers are odds-on to win the trophy which would represent the first part of a possible domestic treble but Henderson was reluctant to make comparisons with his Rangers team of 1964 which achieved the feat.[LNB]"Any team that is going to do the treble is a good team," the former Scotland player said.[LNB]"It is not an easy thing to achieve, you see how few times it has been done by Glasgow Rangers over the years.[LNB]"That team (of 64) was certainly an exceptional team and I think they were a better all-round team than the team today.[LNB]"However, this team has achieved some fantastic results over the season for Walter and they have to be commended.[LNB]"But one of the main things that has to happen on Sunday is that Rangers players has to be professional in their attitude.[LNB]"They have to treat this is as big a game as playing against Celtic.[LNB]"Gus MacPherson has done fantastically well with St Mirren with not a lot of money, they play some nice football and if I was a Rangers player I would be looking at the League Cup as the first final and just try to win that."[LNB][LNB]
