Healy set for Rangers stay

Striker David Healy is set to sign a contract extension at Glasgow Rangers, despite an injury-interrupted campaign last season.[LNB] The Northern Ireland international enjoyed an injury-hit spell at Ibrox but has done enough to earn a new deal under boss Ally McCoist.[LNB]A statement on the club's official website read: "It is expected that paperwork will be completed this afternoon."[LNB]Uncertainty remains, however, over the future of Gers captain David Weir.[LNB]The 41-year-old defender is out of contract this summer and is still waiting to discover if he is part of McCoist's plans for next term.[LNB]Coach Ian Durrant admitted he hopes Weir would remain at Ibrox, saying: "Davie is a great person around the dressing room and has been our leader for the last four years.[LNB]"Hopefully he and the boss can come to an agreement."[LNB]
