Gers wait on veteran pair

Rangers manager Walter Smith will resolve the futures of David Weir and Christian Dailly when the veteran duo return for pre-season training next week.
The two defenders - who have a combined age of 72 - have both been offered new deals to extend their stays at Ibrox and Smith expects to hear whether they will put pen to paper on their return.
"The older boys have a little bit of extra dispensation on when to return from the close season," he told the club's official website.
"Because of that we haven't had a chance to sit down and do things properly yet so Davie Weir and Christian Dailly will get that next week when they return to training."
Meanwhile, Smith has also revealed that talks are "ongoing" with Fulham over the possible permanent signing of former on-loan midfielder Steven Davis.
