Gers to keep McGregor

Rangers are keen to keep hold of Allan McGregor despite the goalkeeper recently losing the number one jersey.
The 24-year-old custodian started the campaign as first choice at Ibrox, but despite losing his place to Lionel Letizi, Gers boss Paul Le Guen is keen to keep hold of the promising youngster whose present deal expires in the summer.
"I've had several discussions with David Murray (Rangers chairman) and our talks are scheduled to continue," McGregor's agent Willie Mackay told the Daily Record.
"We are very close to agreeing a deal which would keep Allan at Ibrox until the summer of 2009.
"Allan has always said his first wish in football was to fight for the number one shirt at Rangers.
"He became frustrated by the lack of opportunities that came his way but believes he will be given his chance again under Paul Le Guen and he's determined to take it with both hands."
