Gers sweep PFA nominations

Rangers players dominate the nominations for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award, with the four-man shortlist made up of David Weir, Steve Davis, Kris Boyd and Andy Webster.

Weir, Davis and Boyd have been instrumental in the Gers closing in on the retention of their SPL title, while Ibrox defender Webster has impressed during a season-long loan at Dundee United.

Last season's award was won by Celtic midfielder Scott Brown, with the Bhoys also producing the winners of the previous four years, although in 2005 John Hartson shared the prize with Rangers' Fernando Ricksen.

Gers defender Danny Wilson is up for the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award along with Hibernian striker Anthony Stokes, Dundee United frontman David Goodwillie and Dundee's Leigh Griffiths.
