Rangers goalkeeper Lee Robinson has penned a new deal that will keep him at Ibrox until the end of the 2008-09 campaign.
The 20-year-old has only made one first-team appearance for the Gers but is highly regarded at the club.
Robinson's agent, Gordon Smith, told the Daily Record: "Paul (Le Guen) spoke with Lee before he signed the new deal.
"The club's management rate Lee highly and they were keen for him to stay, sign a new deal and take his development to the next stage and eventually challenge for the first-team goalkeeping spot.
"Lee has signed until 2009. The main thing from Lee's point of view is that Allan McGregor has established himself as the No.1 but the other two keepers, Lionel Letizi and Stefan Klos, are coming to the end of their careers.
"So, in terms of his long-term future, it gives him a chance, an opportunity to stay on and when he's more experienced fight for his place with Allan."
