Gers snap up keeper Smith

Rangers manager Walter Smith has added to his goalkeeping options by snapping up the Kilmarnock shot-stopper Graeme Smith on a three-year deal. The 24-year-old is expected to push Allan McGregor for a first-team starting spot at Ibrox, although the Gers boss does have several other options as Stefan Klos, Lee Robinson, Calum Reidford and Scott Gallacher are also on the club's books. Smith made 47 first-team appearances for Killie although he spent most of the second half of last campaign on the substitute's bench. He also spent the 2001-02 season on loan at Queens Park and the following campaign in a similar capacity with Stenhousemuir.
