Rangers have snapped up Bordeaux striker Jean-Claude Darcheville on a Bosman free transfer on a two-year contract.
The 31-year-old frontman has rejected the offer of a new contract at Bordeaux to link up with the Gers in the summer, with Monaco also having been interested in signing Darcheville.
He started his professional career at Rennes and moved to England to spend the 1998-99 season with Nottingham Forest.
Darcheville returned to France in the summer of 1999 to link up with Lorient, only leaving the club when they were relegated three years later.
At Bordeaux he has scored 36 goals in just over 120 appearances for Les Girondins.
