Former West Ham and Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll has joined Rangers after agreeing a one-year contract with the SPL club.
Carroll, 29, was released by the Hammers at the end of last season and is relishing the opportunity to kick-start his career north of the border after falling out of favour at Upton Park.
The Northern Ireland international, who spent four years at Old Trafford before joining West Ham in 2005, is set to challenge Allan McGregor and Graeme Smith for the number one jersey at Ibrox this season.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for me and I had no hesitation in accepting the offer," said Carroll.
"I have made no secret that I am a Rangers fan so this really is a bit of a dream for me.
"I know it's going to be a battle to get into the team but I'm ready to fight."
