Rangers have finalised a pre-contract agreement with St Mirren for highly-rated defender Kirk Broadfoot.
The 22-year-old will move to Ibrox in the summer and becomes manager Walter Smith's second pre-contract signing following a similar agreement with Falkirk's Alan Gow.
Smith told the club's official website: "He's played very well for St Mirren in the SPL this season.
"He's gained vital experience and will be a welcome addition to our squad next season."
The Buddies are expected to receive a fee of around £80,000 for the former Hibs player.
Broadfoot made almost 150 League games for St Mirren since breaking into the first team at the start of the 2002-03 campaign.
