Under-fire boss Paul Le Guen has apologised to angry fans following Rangers' shock CIS Insurance Cup quarter-final defeat by St Johnstone.
The struggling Gers already 15 points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic in the SPL were dumped out of the cup by the first division side following a 2-0 defeat at Ibrox to increase the pressure on the French manager.
"When you lose such a game you must recognise that the supporters are not happy," said Le Guen.
"I know they are disappointed but we are disappointed too.
"I am very disappointed and I apologise to the supporters because the performance was so poor.
"I have lost games before but this one was one of the worst."
