Gers allay McGregor concerns

Rangers boss Walter Smith has played down concerns that Allan McGregor faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

It had been reported that the goalkeeper has a serious knee problem, but Smith insists there is nothing to get concerned about.

He told the Gers' official website: "There's nothing serious. Allan has a little bit of swelling behind his knee which has bothered him at different times.

"We've just been checking the cause of that but he hasn't been missing any training and he'll be fit to play at the weekend."
