Rangers boss Walter Smith faces an anxious wait to discover the extent of an injury picked up by teenage defender Danny Wilson.[LNB] The 18-year-old suffered a knock during a practice match against Celtic at Murray Park on Wednesday and will go for a specialist scan on Friday.[LNB]Reports suggest the young centre-half could be sidelined for the remainder of the season and miss the Scottish champions' final four games as they edge closer to retaining the Scottish Premier League title.[LNB]But, according to the club's official website, the full extent of the problem will not be known until after the scan.[LNB]Wilson has enjoyed an impressive debut season for Rangers and has made 24 appearances so far, including Champions League and Old Firm fixtures.[LNB]He was a regular in the heart of defence alongside David Weir, until Madjid Bougherra's recent return from injury.[LNB]His displays have already attracted interest from south of the border, with Rangers confirming Liverpool have made an enquiry.[LNB]Wilson was named Rangers' young player of the year on Sunday and has also been nominated for the PFA Scotland prize.[LNB]
