He was forced out of the action at Ibrox with concussion and a heavy blow to his eye following a clash of heads with Celtic's Landry N'Guemo. Scans have revealed he has not suffered a fractured cheekbone, however he does have a small fracture to his eye socket. Boyd will seek advice from a specialist on Wednesday but does not expect surgery to be required. However, he is now likely to miss the Scottish Premier League game against St Johnstone and the visit of Unirea Urziceni in the Champions League. Meanwhile, youngster Andrew Little has been told he could be out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury picked up in the opening minute of the 2-1 win over Celtic. Little told Rangers' official website: "The first ball they played from the kick-off was a diagonal one right down my throat. "Zheng Zhi came across and I sprinted to head it and felt a really bad spasm in my hamstring. "In my head all I wanted to do was get on with the game but I was also thinking, 'Did that just happen to me?'. "It was one of those things where I hoped it was just a bit of cramp. "But I had a similar problem six weeks before so I knew what it was."
