Rangers midfielder Steven Davis hopes to be joined by new faces after committing his future to the Scottish champions.[LNB] Davis gave manager Ally McCoist a further lift ahead of start of the new Scottish Premier League season on Saturday by signing a new five-year contract yesterday.[LNB]The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international follows team-mates Allan McGregor and Steven Whittaker, who also penned new deals over the summer.[LNB]But with Spaniard Juan Manuel Ortiz the only addition to the Ibrox squad, Davis feels more players are needed.[LNB]Davis, who underlined his value to the Glasgow giants with both goals in a 2-0 friendly win at Blackpool last night, said: "I'm delighted to get the deal signed and sealed and obviously I'm happy to commit my future to the club in the long term.[LNB]"We've got quite a settled team from last season and a lot of us are on long-term deals now which is important.[LNB]"It's just a case of adding to our group now as it's a wee bit thin at the moment and it will be nice to get some fresh faces on board."[LNB]Rangers have been linked with their former striker Kenny Miller, who left them for Turkish side Bursaspor in January.[LNB]McCoist added: "I don't know what the situation with Kenny is.[LNB]"I know he wants to come home and I would hazard a guess that Bursaspor may not be the easiest to deal with.[LNB]"There is nothing to my knowledge at this moment in time."[LNB]McCoist, taking over from veteran Walter Smith this season, was pleased with his side's final run-out before the new campaign begins.[LNB]Rangers were rarely troubled at Bloomfield Road against a side playing for the first time since relegation from the Premier League.[LNB]Davis struck twice late in the first half with new Blackpool signing Gerardo Bruna going closest for the hosts with a free-kick which hit the post.[LNB]McCoist said: "I thought that was our best pre-season performance.[LNB]"I am very pleased with the players we have got but I would be a lot happier if we could get a few in to help them."
