The club are reportedly more than £30million in debt and some supporters fear an asset-stripping exercise could leave the team unable to compete for years to come.[LNB]No reinforcements have arrived at Ibrox since the summer of 2008 - just one loanee has arrived since then - prompting some fans to air banners at Sunday's 3-0 victory over Hibernian.[LNB]David Murray has been seeking a buyer for his 90% stake for Rangers, who are currently 10 points clear of Old Firm rivals Celtic in the SPL title race.[LNB]And McCoist admits the possibility of a rundown operation cannot be dismissed, as he said: "It is not something we would wish for, of course, but it is a distinct possibility.[LNB]"It is only a worry for me because it has been my football club since I was a wee boy and thousands of other people are the same. I will survive whatever happens.[LNB]"I've said for a long time that the welfare of the club is the most important thing. As a supporter, you would not want to see the club's assets being stripped."[LNB]McCoist, tipped to replace Walter Smith when the former Everton manager retires, is part of a management team who is currently working without a contract.[LNB]However, the financial situation at Ibrox is not deterring McCoist from taking over, as he added: "I have ambitions to be a manager - of course I have. I'm a glass half-full kind of guy.[LNB]"If you let it get to you, then it would matter, but you can't let it.[LNB]"You have to come in and do your work, plan and prepare for the games, and look at the players. You owe it to the players and, of course, the support to stay focused and get the team ready.[LNB]"That's not difficult. The other side of it is something we could do without, but we've all got a job to do, which we love."[LNB][LNB] Rangers v St Mirren. Click here to bet.
