Finishing frustrates Ferguson
25 Sep 2006 - 11:47:00
Rangers captain Barry Ferguson blamed poor finishing for Saturday's 2-0 Old Firm defeat at Celtic Park.
Goals from Thomas Gravesen and Kenny Miller clinched victory for SPL leaders Celtic, who now have a seven-point advantage over the third-placed Gers.
"Scoring goals wins games and we had the chances, but just could not put the ball in the net," Ferguson told BBC Scotland.
"We are all disappointed but we need to pick ourselves up because we have a lot of important games on the horizon.
"We are seven points behind Celtic and we would have liked to have come away with at least a point."
He added: "You could see the fans singing from the first minute to the last minute at Parkhead.
"I know what it is like because I have been up there and they will be disappointed getting nothing from the game.
"We need to get back out on the training ground and work our way towards wins next week."
