Ferguson slams official

Rangers captain Barry Ferguson slammed referee Pedro Garcia for his performance in Hapoel Tel-Aviv's 2-1 UEFA Cup win over the Gers.

Ferguson felt that Garcia had got several key decisions wrong in Israel, with Rangers facing a tough ask to reach the last 16 of the competition.

"The referee was a joke," said Ferguson. "Everybody saw his performance for themselves, he was disappointing to be honest.

"I didn't think they were a great team. We were disappointed in the dressing room afterwards. I thought we were the better team and I am disappointed.

"We are certainly going to be confident going into the return next week.

"Hopefully we will get a couple of players back from injury, but I believe we can go through."
