Ferguson eyes next season

Rangers skipper Barry Ferguson has promised to come back 'raring to go' next season after his injury-plagued start to the recently completed campaign.
The Scotland international missed most of the Gers' last pre-season with injury problems and struggled in the opening months as a lack of summer conditioning took its toll.
But with a summer of rest and recuperation calling after Rangers' 1-0 friendly victory over LA Galaxy in the US this week, the 29-year-old former Blackburn Rovers midfielder is looking forward to the next SPL campaign.
"I had to go in for an operation at the end of last season and that meant that I missed a couple of months and I was behind everyone else in terms of preparation," he told the club's official website.
"Any player will tell you that the most difficult thing after a major operation is getting yourself back into shape in games.
"Ideally I would have liked to have five or six reserve matches, but it just wasn't possible and I had to get on with it.
"Touch wood, there have been no injury problems this year and if I can complete the season with Scotland unscathed then I will have a good break and come back raring to go next year.
"With a full pre-season behind me I am confident I can play to the best of my ability."
