Euro progress pleases Smith

Rangers manager Walter Smith revealed his delight at sealing a place in the UEFA Cup after Wednesday's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Barcelona.
The Gers lost their first Champions League game of the season at the Camp Nou, but other Group E results went their way and ensured Smith's side are guaranteed at least third spot and a consolation place in the latter stages of the UEFA Cup.
Lyon's 4-2 victory over Stuttgart ensured the German side would finish bottom of the table.
"We've made sure that we have European football after Christmas even if the worst was to happen," said Smith, whose side now seem likely to challenge Lyon for the runner-up spot in the group.
"When we first looked at such a difficult group, that's a great thing.
"It is always a big disappointment to lose, but not many teams can come here and get a win."
