Euro joy for banned McGregor

Rangers have successfully appealed to UEFA over the two-match ban handed out to Allan McGregor and the goalkeeper will now be free to face Osasuna next week.
The Gers number one sat out Thursday's UEFA Cup last 16 first leg 1-1 draw at Ibrox after he was dismissed against Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the previous round.
McGregor was hit with a two-match following an off-the-ball clash with Luciano De Bruno, but following an appeal in which evidence from team-mate Brahim Hemdani was heard, the ban has been halved.
The 25-year-old keeper is now free to play against the Spanish side in the second leg.
"Allan has protested his innocence all along and it was regrettable that he had to miss last night's UEFA Cup tie," said Rangers chief-executive Martin Bain.
"However, we are pleased he can now take part in next week's important game in Spain."
