Edu satisfied with Rangers point

Maurice Edu was philosophical about Rangers' missed opportunities against Valencia in the Champions League on a night when he netted for both teams. The American handed the Scottish champions a deserved first-half lead over their Spanish visitors, before scoring an own goal a minute into the second half as the Group C clash ended 1-1. Rangers will also rue chances spurned by Kenny Miller, Steven Naismith and Richard Foster in an entertaining clash at Ibrox but, as far as Edu is concerned, there is no point dwelling on what might have been. "It's football - would have, could have, should have," said the midfielder. "I definitely think we created enough chances, dangerous chances, and on another day maybe we would have scored some of those chances and come out with three points. "But in this game it wasn't meant to be and we take one point from the game. It all happened and it was just one of those things. I was very pleased to get the goal and there was a lot of disappointment in giving them that goal so early in the second half. "I thought we finished off the first half very strongly and created a lot of good chances and to start the second half like that was a disappointment. In saying that, credit to our team because I thought we bounced back and we did well to keep attacking. We created some more really good chances in the second half that we were unlucky not to finish."
