Edu not envious of Celtic activity

The Hoops have bolstered their squad with the arrival of Jos Hooiveld, with Tony Mowbray planning to recruit more new faces before the end of the month.[LNB]Rangers on the other hand do not anticipate any arrivals and are concentrating their efforts on keeping key personnel at the club instead.[LNB]But, according to Edu, the Light Blues have no interest in any transfer activity taking place at Celtic as both teams prepare for battle in the second half of the season.[LNB]"What they're doing doesn't really affect what's happening here so we are just concerned with what's going on within our club and our team," said the midfielder.[LNB]"It can go either way. They could bring in a key signing that changes things for them and really helps them.[LNB]"But, at the same time, we've not had many changes over the last year or so and we went on to win the title. We are just focused on our team staying strong here."[LNB]Edu has recently returned from the injury he sustained on the final day of last season and, with Walter Smith short on numbers for tomorrow's clash at Hamilton, the American is more than happy to take advantage and force his way into the manager's plans again.[LNB]He said: "I'm always looking to get a game and whatever the circumstances are that leads to me getting a game, I'm happy. If it means I'll be playing this weekend, I'll be happy.[LNB]"I would like to have had a couple more practice games but, because of the weather, it's been a little bit harder.[LNB]"I'm just training hard and trying to get sharp in training. My fitness is pretty good, it's just a matter of getting match fit and the more matches I get under my belt, the better."[LNB]The SPL game is the second of three consecutive meetings with Accies for Rangers, who were held to a 3-3 draw in the Scottish Cup last weekend and face a replay at Ibrox on Tuesday.[LNB]Edu said: "It's always hard to play the same team again so quickly. We were disappointed with our performance in the last game and the way the game ended up.[LNB]"So we will go there and try to get a better result and turn things around this time."[LNB][LNB] Scottish Premier Winner 2009/10 Win Outright: Rangers 8/15
