Edu focused on Ibrox matters

Maurice Edu claims Rangers have no interest in Celtic's results after closing the gap on their rivals to five points, with two games in hand, in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. The Hoops lost at Motherwell in Sunday's early kick-off, before the Scottish champions cruised to a 4-0 victory over St Johnstone just hours later. But Edu - who claimed the decisive goal to send Walter Smith's men into the last 16 of the Europa League midweek - insists Rangers do not need to look elsewhere for motivation. He said: "To be honest, we were just focused on ourselves. That's all we can do at this point. We can't depend on other results and different games, we can only worry about our own performance. "If that game finished 2-0 and we went into our own game and dropped points, it's useless for us. "So we can only focus on making sure we are ready to play every game and really committed to our own performances."
