Rangers manager Walter Smith hailed match-winner Kris Boydd after his side's dramatic CIS Cup Insurance Cup Final success against Dundee United at Hampden Park.
The former Kilmarnock star netted twice as the Gers were forced to come from behind to force a penalty shoot-out in which he scored the winning spot-kick.
Smith said: "If you get the ball into the box a lot of the time he will always get you goals. I know that sometimes in his overall play he is a little bit of a frustrating character.
"He knows also that and it is a little bit frustrating for him sitting on the bench all the time, and for me. But I know that if I put him on he is not affected by it.
"I felt that we had to impose ourselves and get the ball into the box in the second half, we did that and he got the goals. And when it's a final penalty, there is nobody better.
"He is a terrific penalty taker and I was as confident as I could be that he would convert that one."
