Jamie Ness has backed new team-mate El-Hadji Diouf to have a big part to play at Rangers after making his debut in the 1-0 win over Hearts in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. The winger joined on loan from Blackburn on transfer deadline day and was named on the bench for the clash at Ibrox, along with fellow new recruits David Healy and Kyle Bartley. However, injury to Lee McCulloch saw Diouf thrown into the action after just 20 minutes and youngster Ness was impressed by how he handled the occasion. "It was difficult for him as I don't think he expected to come on so early," he said. "But he showed some good touches and I think he will only get better and be a really good player for us."
