Davis pledges Gers future

Rangers midfielder Steven Davis says he has no intention of heading south this summer, following rumours of a possible return to England.

The 24-year-old Northern Ireland international joined the Gers from Fulham in January 2008 and is content with life at Ibrox.

He commented: "I enjoyed my time down in England when I was there, playing week in, week out against good teams and testing myself.

"But I've not got it in my mind at the moment to go back and I'm enjoying my time at Rangers.

"Maybe in the future I'd like to play there again, but I don't really think about it too much."
