Steven Davis says Rangers must make teams fear coming to Ibrox again if they are to claim their fourth Scottish Premier League title in a row.
The Gers are undefeated at home this season but they have dropped six points in draws to Hearts, St Mirren and St Johnstone.
Ally McCoists side have suffered a 15 point lead in recent weeks to trail Old Firm rivals Celtic by two points at the top of the table.
And Northern Ireland international Davis knows it will be vitally important to string together a run of wins at home if they are to peg the Hoops back - starting with the visit of Aberdeen on Saturday.
"It has been a strange one this season in terms of our home form and weve stuttered a little bit at times," the midfielder said.
"It is important for us to get back to winning ways there and make Ibrox a fortress that teams are scared to come to.
"Hopefully we can do that and put a good run of results together between now and the end of the season."
The Rangers captain is also keen to add to his goal tally for the season, having netted only once this season when the Dons last visited Ibrox in August.
"Without doubt, scoring is something you always try to practise in training and work on," Davis said.
"We need to spread goals throughout the team rather than rely too heavily on the strikers to produce them so hopefully I can get something on that front at the weekend."
Rangers will be without David Weir after the veteran defender left the club during the week while midfielder John Fleck has joined Blackpool on loan. Forward Kyle Lafferty and Steven Whittaker miss out through injury.
Rivals Celtic have the chance to pile the pressure on Rangers if they can win away to St Mirren and open up a five-point gap.
The Hoops have put together a run of 11 league wins in a row on their way to reclaiming top spot from the Gers.
But Celtic striker Anthony Stokes says they are not writing Rangers off just yet as the Hoops bid to hold on to their lead.
"They have their own worries over there but just look at the way they have been playing in the last few weeks," the Irish international
"They have been doing reasonably well and winning games and it is obviously not affecting them that much.
"We know its going to be a battle to the end of the season so we have to keep playing well."
The Buddies, who defeated Rangers at New St Mirren Park on Christmas Eve, could have forward Dougie Imrie in their squad if his transfer from Hamilton goes through in time.
Despite financial problems dogging them off the field Hearts recent run in the league has seen the Jambos rise to third place but they face a difficult away test at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Kilmarnock host bottom of the table Dunfermline, Dundee United welcome Motherwell to Tannadice and Hibernian take on St Johnstone at Easter Road.
