Rangers striker Daniel Cousin hopes to make his comeback from a broken jaw in Saturday's SPL meeting with Dundee United.
The 31-year-old forward has been sidelined for four weeks following surgery in France but hopes to play some part in the weekend trip to Tannadice.
Cousin was injured in Rangers' UEFA Cup last 16 first leg victory over Werder Bremen at the beginning of March.
"I am waiting for the doctor to give me the green light to play again but my jaw is feeling a lot better now," he said.
"I am back in full training and that is good but it still isn't the same as taking part in matches.
"After speaking to the doctor, he thinks I will be able to play against Dundee United on Sunday.
"I am not going to take any risks as my jaw has to heal properly but, if everything goes according to plan, I can take part in the match at Tannadice."
