Boyd netted the second in Saturday's 3-0 Homecoming Scottish Cup victory over the Buddies, with Andrius Velicka and Kenny Miller also on target.[LNB]Boyd, who has reached three figures in just 146 games, told Sky Sports 1: "I'm obviously delighted to get there.[LNB]"It's down to my team-mates, the likes of Kenny, Steven Davis, the amount of chances they create in a game.[LNB]"They've done that week-in, week-out and I've managed to get myself on the end of them."[LNB]Of Saturday's result he added: "We set out to get into the final. We've done that today and I'm delighted we've won the game 3-0."[LNB]Miller applauded Boyd's feat, saying: "I think Boydy's being a bit modest. It's a fantastic ratio of goals to games.[LNB]"To get 100 goals in 146 games is incredible - at any level.[LNB]"He's a fantastic goalscorer."[LNB]Despite netting 29 times this season, Boyd was recently overlooked for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year prize.[LNB]He said: "I look back four years ago, I ended up with 39 goals and I got nowhere.[LNB]"I'm used to it - it doesn't bother me.[LNB]"As long as we keep winning games with Rangers, that's the most important thing."[LNB]The only downside to Rangers' win today was an injury to midfielder Pedro Mendes, who was taken off on a stretcher after a knee-high challenge from Will Haining.[LNB]Miller said: "It was more the follow through than anything else.[LNB]"I don't think there was any malice in it at all. He's got caught on the knee but hopefully he'll be okay."[LNB]Rangers assistant boss Ally McCoist, in charge for the game, also applauded Boyd's feat.[LNB]Boyd often gets criticised for doing little other than score goals but McCoist, who netted more than 250 times for Rangers, said: "He realises there can be more to his game than just scoring goals.[LNB]"I thought he won headers today, I thought he brought people into play.[LNB]"I just said to him he earned his goal today and I'm absolutely delighted for him."[LNB]Of Rangers' performance, McCoist added: "I felt the second goal was absolutely crucial.[LNB]"I thought we very very poor in terms of our passing of the ball for an hour and then I felt we scored two great goals. It was a bit ironic actually.[LNB]"But I'm absolutely thrilled. A clean sheet, three different scorers and I thought we certainly played better the last half hour."[LNB]McCoist revealed the extend of Mendes' injury would not be known until Sunday at the earliest.[LNB]"It looked a bad one and he was in a lot of pain when he came off," he said.[LNB]"He's iced it up just now and he's been well strapped. It's very early stages in the injury so we'll probably know better tomorrow, or perhaps Monday."[LNB][LNB]
