Canaries snap up Gers full-back

Rangers defender Steven Smith is set to join Norwich on a free transfer on July 1 after agreeing a switch to Carrow Road on a two-year deal.[LNB] The 24-year-old left-back, who made 74 appearances for the Scottish Premier League side, becomes the club's third summer signing following the earlier arrivals of Andrew Crofts and Elliott Ward.[LNB]Manager Paul Lambert told the club's official website: "I'm delighted. He's come from a massive club in Rangers and he'll fit in well here and I'm looking forward to him joining us.[LNB]"He's a left-back with a terrific engine and he'll be part of a squad that will hopefully do well next season."
