Burke future in doubt

Winger Chris Burke's future at Rangers is in doubt following the news that talks over a new contract have been put on ice.

The 22-year-old midfielder was offered a new three-year deal last month but the Scotland international has so far failed to put pen to paper.

Burke, who is currently sidelined through injury, is out of contract in the summer and could agree terms with another club in January.

Meanwhile, the Ibrox club have been linked with a double swoop on Hibernian to land highly-rated duo Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson.

But the Gers are likely to face stiff competition from Charlton and Everton who have also been linked with the midfield pair.
