Broadfoot to leave Scotland squad

Kirk Broadfoot will be sent home from the Scotland squad ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifying double-header against Czech Republic and Spain which starts with a game in Prague on Friday. The Rangers defender has a foot injury which caused him to miss the win over Hearts at the weekend and his Ibrox team-mate Lee McCulloch, suspended for the meeting with the Czechs, also missed the game with a hip complaint which leaves his place in doubt. Scotland manager Craig Levein said: "Players are being assessed at this moment. I can tell you Kirk Broadfoot will go back to his club. "He has a foot problem and it is safest if he isn't involved. Lee is another that I don't know about yet."
