Boyd's Gers future in doubt

Kris Boyd's future at Rangers has been thrown into doubt following reports of a fall-out with manager Walter Smith.

The Scotland striker is believed to have been involved in a training ground bust-up with Smith on Tuesday.

Reports claim the 25-year-old frontman was unhappy at being left out of the starting line-up for Sunday's Homecoming Scottish Cup quarter-final victory over Hamilton Academical.

Boyd is the club's 24-goal top scorer this season but was close to leaving Ibrox in January.

Championship side Birmingham City agreed a fee with the Gers, but Boyd failed to agree personal terms at St Andrew's.
