Boyd rules out Hamilton thumping

Top scorer Boyd helped himself to a hat-trick in a 7-1 thrashing of the Scottish Premier League new boys at the start of December.[LNB]That was while Accies were on a 10-match winless run, a sequence they have dramatically turned around since the new year.[LNB]Indeed, Billy Reid's men are now the form team in the SPL, having won seven of their last eight games in all competitions.[LNB]Boyd's Ibrox team-mate Steven Naismith said this week he felt Rangers could repeat December's display at New Douglas Park on Saturday.[LNB]But Boyd said: "Look at their game last Saturday. They went to Falkirk and picked up all three points. As we know ourselves from experience, that is not easy.[LNB]"That result made it seven victories in the last eight games for Hamilton. You can't take it away from them, they are the form team in the league. They are at the top of the current form table.[LNB]"Hopefully, though, we can continue our own good form and halt their run come Saturday lunchtime. We are playing well enough."[LNB]Boyd insists the 7-1 game at Ibrox, which Rangers won against 10 men, will have no bearing on the outcome of this weekend's match.[LNB]He said in the Evening Times: "I don't think that game is of any relevance. We will be fully focused.[LNB]"When you look at that game, the circumstances were totally different. It was at Ibrox and they were on a bad losing run, which is the total opposite from what they are now.[LNB]"They will be confident they can make it difficult for us and we will have to be ready for a fight."[LNB][LNB] Rangers 2/5[LNB], Draw 10/3[LNB], Hamilton 8/1[LNB]
