Outgoing Rangers striker Kris Boyd has revealed he has agreed to join former Celtic manager Gordon Strachan at Middlesbrough.[LNB] The 26-year old's future has been the subject of intense speculation since he confirmed plans to quit Rangers at the end of last season.[LNB]He was linked with several clubs south of the border, as well as a lucrative switch to Turkey. But the striker expects a two-year deal with Boro to be completed on Sunday.[LNB]He told the Sunday Mail: "I'm delighted to finally have my future sorted out.[LNB]"I've had a few offers to consider and it's been a case of talking to my family about the positives and negatives of each one. Middlesbrough have always been very appealing. Strachan has big plans and has made me feel wanted.[LNB]"Everything has just about been agreed and I will go through my medical. I don't envisage any problems and I'm looking forward to starting my Boro career."[LNB]Former Rangers striker John MacDonald believes Boyd can be a big hit on Teesside.[LNB]MacDonald told the Daily Mail: "The Championship is not a step down in terms of the standard of defences.[LNB]"Boyd is used to scoring for fun in the SPL. I wonder if that would probably be the kind of level to get him scoring and settled into the English game before moving on up."
