Boyd was handed a return by new boss Craig Levein for the friendly against the Czechs at Hampden after he had withdrawn his services under previous boss George Burley.[LNB]There were fears that the Scotland fans would turn on the Rangers player but the reception was overwhelmingly positive when he replaced Kenny Miller in the second half of Scotland's 1-0 win, seconds after Scott Brown had scored the winner.[LNB]Boyd said: "I am delighted to be back. I always said I wanted to be back in a Scotland jersey and I got the chance. I thank the fans for the reception they gave me and hopefully I can repay them with goals that qualify us through the next campaign.[LNB]"As a footballer you have to focus on what you are doing. You don't let anything around you affect you.[LNB]"It was no different in this game but it was good to get an ovation like that when I came on and I thank the fans very much."[LNB][LNB]
